What I Wore: 2nd Grade Class Zoo Trip

April 14, 2014 by emily 15 Comments

Last week Ricki and I went to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC with a few of her closest friends… and the entire 2nd grade. Just because I’m nervous one of her teachers will read this, I’m not going to tell you how worried I was that this trip would turn into a nightmare. But it was a lot.

But really, wouldn’t you??

Well, to my surprise, we ended up having a great time and I’m so happy I went because we made some really wonderful memories! Chances are she won’t remember the lions or the elephants, but maybe she’ll look back and laugh at her mommy being too scared to feed the giraffes. To me, thats worth every bit of 2nd grade class trip craziness!

I adore that leopard print sweater. And Ricki’s sparkly purse is to die for!

I use to love when my mom went on my field trips and my dad drove the bus!! I remember some of the places we went but most of all I treasure the memories of having my parents there! Great way to be involved and there!! You Rock!

Ohhhh miss Emily I believe you have a little future fashionista on your hands! She’s taking in her beautiful moms footsteps! Thank goodness you have a partner now to help keep the boys away with a bat at the door 🙂 haha she’s beautiful. Glad you had so much fun and the memories are the best part. Well, also the pictures that go alone with the memories.

    Hi Emily,
My daughter and I saw you and Ricki and another little girl at Northlake Mall in Belk. You were walking our way and we kept looking at you because you looked
so familiar. When we passed you, my daughter said, “Mom, that was Emily Maynard.”
I realized it about the time you had passed us. You are just as beautiful in person as in your pictures and TV. I love your fashion style and you are always modest which sets a good example for Ricki. Congratulations on your engagement!
PS. I also went on some of those field trips with my 3 when they were younger. The day we went to Riverbanks, it had rained and was muddy, but we trudged through anyway…So much fun and we made some great memories.
