I'm sure you all have seen the crop tops that are in every store and every magazine by now and, if you're like me, wondered, "That poor girl left her shirt at home! Why didn't anyone tell her?". I knew my days of crop top wearing were long gone but I was determined to find a way to make it work without looking like a Forever21 reject. So, I found a crop top that was a little longer and paired it with a high waisted Party Skirt. Plus, it's a look you can recreate all year round with the addition of a cute sweater or blazer!

Great idea Emily! I am a junior in college and it baffles me the number of women walking around wearing crop top shirts to class... I don't want my professors to see my belly button. I am an education major which requires us to dress professionally in school settings and girls have gotten excused for wearing crop tops to an elementary school! However, this look is great and appropriate. I approve. permalink

Just ordered this crop top. Came in the mail yesterday... absolutely love it!!!!!!! ..but I can't fins the skirt anywhere..... :( I have a wedding I'm going to in May on a vineyard in Virginia...this outfit would be absolutely adorable. Emily you pull off that look amazingly. Well I would love to pull off tight "going out" clubbing outfits. My girlfriends and I go to Atlantic city a lot to the clubs there and they all have nice big butts and boobs haha and I don't! I need to find a cute going out outfit that fits my overly skinny figure :( haha oh well permalink
